Your most sensitive information is encrypted when it is stored and when it travels.
When it is stored
Photos, videos, messages and medical information are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the standard banks and governments use. Each photo and video gets its own key.
When it travels
Everything between your phone and KINND is sent over an encrypted connection (TLS 1.3). Nobody on the network can read it.
Keys kept apart
The keys that unlock your data are stored separately from the data itself. A copy of the data alone is unreadable.

Built to keep children safe
Our management system watches for misuse around the clock with Abuse Central, a complex system of triggers and patterns. Every alarm is checked by a person on our team.
Family life stays private
In normal use, nobody at KINND sees your photos, messages or your child's information. Our system works on technical signals only.
When an alarm goes off
Our team first reviews the technical details of the case: sign-ins, devices, IP addresses and the warnings that fired. Every view is audited. If there are grounds to look further, we follow the same protocols as the Danish authorities, and a second, senior reviewer approves before the case goes further.

Every time an employee views details in a case, it is logged with who, what and when, and audited.
How we catch abuse and fraud
We act on misuse quickly, with technical signals only.
Warnings that catch misuse early
Abuse Central looks for signs of misuse: unusual sign-ins, accounts created to reach a child, and attempts to get access someone should not have.
You decide who is in
Parents can remove a family member at any time. Worried about something? Write to us.
We work with the authorities
Confirmed illegal cases are handed to the police with the information they need. We follow each case until it is closed.
We stay out of family conflicts
KINND is a private space to share in. We do not take sides or settle disagreements.
